Most of the people that have wet a line on The MO this year are pretty impressed with the average fish size and population numbers the river has to offer. One of the most common questions that we get here in the shop, “Does this river even have any small fish in it? I haven’t caught anything under 18 inches…”
Although most of the fish in this river are very large, the shop guys have been spending countless hours doing research in an attempt to find an answer to the most common question we get in the shop. Finally, last night, our hard work paid off and we found a small Missouri River Rainbow Trout. We have living proof that there will be more big fish to come! That little guy took a Caddis Pupa dropped off the back of a hopper pattern.
